Ayele Fulasa Natural is a Grade 1 coffee from Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, grown at an impressive 2,005 meters above sea level. Made from the JARC 74110 variety, the high altitude and slow cherry maturation contribute to a refined and expressive cup. Only ripe cherries are handpicked and carefully sorted before being naturally processed. The whole cherries are dried on raised bamboo beds for two to three weeks, with frequent turning to ensure consistent drying and a clean final cup. This natural process allows the fruit to remain in contact with the seed throughout drying, encouraging greater sweetness, fruit intensity, and complexity. Careful harvesting, high-altitude growing conditions, and meticulous processing come together to create a vibrant Ethiopian coffee with the distinctive character associated with Yirgacheffe.

What is the difference between "Washed" and "Unwashed" coffee?
What is the difference between "Washed" and "Unwashed" coffee?
These terms refer to the "process"—how the coffee cherry is removed from the bean. Washed coffees are cleaned with water, resulting in a bright, clean, and "tea-like" cup that highlights the bean's origin. Unwashed (or Natural) coffees are dried with the fruit still on the bean, leading to a "funky," full-bodied cup with intense notes of ripe fruit and sweetness.
"Fruity" vs. "Not So Fruity"—how do I choose?
"Fruity" vs. "Not So Fruity"—how do I choose?
We categorize our coffees to make your choice easier. If you enjoy bright, acidic, and complex notes (like berries or citrus), go for "Fruity." If you prefer a more classic, chocolatey, and nutty profile with lower acidity, "Not So Fruity" is for you.
